You may have heard the true story about the man who, on his way to the airport, had to drop his pet parrot off at a boarding kennel. As the man was leaving the kennel office, his parrot frantically called out to him, "Wait! I'm sorry! Please come back! I love you!"

We're only beginning to realize how much more animals understand than we ever imagined. But what they don't understand is the human concept of "taking a vacation," or the need to go away for any extended period of time.

It is easier for us to understand how they would interpret our leaving as a permanent departure. No softly spoken words of comfort can keep them from feeling tremendous anxiety when we pack them up and drop them off in an unfamiliar place. Surely they wonder if they have displeased us somehow, and if we will ever come back for them.

When you allow your pet to stay home to await your return, not only do you reduce the chances that your pet will be exposed to various contagious elements typically found in boarding kennels, you also reduce much of the stress your pet would otherwise experience from being left alone in a noisy kennel of metal bars and concrete floors.

Overnight stays are available. The cost is $60 and includes standard pet-sitting services for one PM and one AM visit. We can tailor our services and rates to any special needs or circumstances. Just ask!

Pet-sitting (Including Dogs)

Sitting services for up to 3 pets, including one dog, consist of 3 visits per 24 hour period. The first visit occurs in the morning before 8am, and the last visit occurs in the evening before 11pm.
Both first and last visits include confirmation of well-being of all pets, yard break for dogs, food and water check, litter box and/or cage freshening when needed, mail/newspaper pick-up, and watering for up to ten houseplants.
The second of the three daily visits occurs in the afternoon before 4pm and includes a 20 minute walk for one dog. If you have more than one dog requiring walks, add $5 per dog.

Sitting services for animals other than dogs require one visit per 24 hour period. More visits can be scheduled, in which case visits are $12 each.
